Dear Members of the Korean Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology,

Greetings. I am Seok-Hyun Cho from Hanyang University, and I have the honor of serving as the 9th President of the Korean Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology starting from January 2025.

As the new year of Eulsa begins, I sincerely wish all members of the society a year full of happiness and prosperity. First and foremost, I would like to express my deep gratitude to the 8th board members and all the members who have devoted themselves to the development of the society, fostering friendship among members, and contributing to society over the past two years. Amid the difficult situation in the medical field triggered by conflicts with the government and the challenging realities of pediatric otolaryngology practice, I am filled with a profound sense of responsibility. However, even in this crisis, I am confident that our society will continue to grow and develop through the united strength and passion of our members.

The Korean Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology has achieved remarkable growth over the years. Now, we are preparing for a new future based on the achievements we have accumulated. In particular, in November 2025, the 10th Asia-Pacific Pediatric Otolaryngology Society Conference (APPOS 2025) will be held in Seoul. Our executive board will spare no support to ensure the successful hosting of this international conference, and we ask for your active participation and cooperation.

In these challenging internal and external environments, I will do my utmost to communicate and collaborate with our members, ensuring that our society continues to progress and grow. Additionally, I am committed to overcoming the crisis facing pediatric medical care in South Korea and securing a better medical environment so that pediatric otolaryngology patients and their families can lead healthy and happy lives. Over the next two years, I will fulfill the responsibilities entrusted to me for the mutual benefit and rights of our members.
